William Halt Obituary

William J. Halt, 67, of Forward Township, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired turn foreman for U.S. Steel?s Clairton Works and a U.S. Army veteran rank of Spec. 5 during peacetime. Born September 30, 1942, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late William J. Halt Sr. and Helen Layko Halt. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Corinne Anderson Halt; daughter Angela (Jeremia) Conradie of Columbia, S.C.; son Richard A. Halt of West Elizabeth; granddaughters Isabelle Conradie and Alexandra Conradie; sister Norma J. Kerr of Forward Township; brother Duane R. (Diane) Halt of Liberty Borough; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday, July 10, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 Second St., Elizabeth, Pa., 15037. No services are scheduled. The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, SW Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15205. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
