Clarence P. Baur

Clarence P. Baur, 82, of Shaler Township, died Saturday, March 29, 2008. Husband of Georgene "Cappy" and the late Harriet Baur. Father of Robert (Linda) Baur, Ellen (Donald) Rezek and Cheryl Baur. Stepfather of Angela Parks. Grandfather of Christa, James, Derek and Nadya. Great-grandfather of Tyler. Son of the late Carl and Mary Edith Baur. Clarence served in the Merchant Marines in World War II, where he was a warrant radio officer. He was a retired employee and instructor at Bell of PA. He was a member of the American Legion Post 106 in Sharpsburg and a 50-year member of John E. Mair Lodge F&AM. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Allison Park, and was a licensed lay speaker. He was also a member of Telephone Pioneers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the BOCK FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Crawford County or the Holy Family Hospice.
