Edward T. Dudek, 84, of McKeesport, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in UPMC Shadyside. He was born Jan. 25, 1923, in McKeesport to Albert and Theodosia Czemczek Dudek and was a retired steelworker, a member of the former St. Stephen Church and a World War II Navy veteran. Husband of the late Pauline Gallagher Dudek. Father of Patricia J. Piepenbring, of Phoenix, Md., and Janet E. (William) Dungan, of Virginia Beach, Va. Grandfather of Dan, Julie, Katie, Jay and Mark. He was known as Boopa to his loving grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Mary, Catherine and Victoria and brothers John, Tom and Frank. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at STRIFFLER'S OF WHITE OAK CREMATION & MORTUARY SERVICES INC., 1100 Lincoln Way. Funeral at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Czestochowa Church with the Rev. Edward S. Litavec officiating. Interment in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
