1920 - 2016

Ann (Petras) Steve, 96 of Clymer, died on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Scenery Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Indiana. Born on May 21, 1920, in Wilgus, she was a daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Surgant) Petras. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She especially loved working in her garden and cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by sons, Tom Steve, of Indiana, and Michael Steve and his wife, Nancy, of Greensburg; sisters, Julia Horvath, of Indiana, and Peggy Hospodar, of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Greg Steve and his wife, Gina, of Upper St. Clair, Doug Steve and his wife, Julie, of Indiana, Matt Steve, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Kelly Bickel and her husband, John, of Phoenixville, Michele Rosborough and her husband, Chad, of McDonald, Michael Steve and his wife, Jennifer, of Glenshaw, and Matthew Steve and his wife, Amanda, of Pittsburgh; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas A. Steve, who died on Sept. 14, 2012; siblings, Mary Koches, Helen Kovalchick and John, George, Mike, Pete and Steve Petras; and daughter-in-law, Sara Lou Steve.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at RAIRIGH-BENCE FUNERAL HOME, Clymer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Church of the Resurrection, Clymer, the Rev. Father Anthony Klimko as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
