David L. Bridge

David L. Bridge, 75, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Greene Health and Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg. Born Oct. 1, 1948, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late Wilfrid R. Bridge and Evelyn (Miller) Bridge. David was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg. A graduate of Saint Vincent College and Penn State University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in math and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an electrical engineer and retired as controls manager for Allegheny Power. Afterwards, he continued on for ten years as a consultant for various companies. He was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, the NRA, the Youngwood Sportsmen Club, and the Kingston Veterans and Sportsmen Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol A. (Sullenberger) Bridge, on Nov. 10, 2023; a brother, Patrick Bridge; an infant sister, Karen Bridge; brothers-in-law James Sullenberger and Harry Crossan; and sister-in-law, Janet Bridges. David is survived by two brothers, Dennis R. Bridge of Trevilians, VA, and Kenneth R. Bridge, and his wife MaryAnn, of Latrobe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bonnie Bridge of Latrobe, Wayne and Betty Sullenberger of Ruffs Dale, Bill and Carolyn Sullenberger of Ruffs Dale, Grover and Donna Sullenberger of OH, Connie Crossan of Scottdale, and Connie Sullenberger of Irwin; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Daniel Blout as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please go directly to church. Entombment will follow at the Mary, Mother of Mercy Mausoleum at St. Vincent Cemetery.
