David Paul Charletta flew to his final resting place in the arms of Jesus to be reunited with his mother Theresa, and father, Theodore, on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014. Born July 2, 1952, David was an amazing, loving husband to Lisa; inspirational father to Teddi (Diana), Shannon (Anthony) and Kelly (Matt); and fun-loving grandfather to Teddy, Dominic, Nathan, Emma, Ashton, Angelina and Ilya. He was also a cherished brother to Michele (Pete), Johnny (Joni) and Dino; and a legendary, fun-loving uncle to Stephanie, Deana, Katie, Brittany and Ryan. Those who knew him best understood that David's philosophy was to live each day to the fullest and enjoy every moment. His best days were times spent with his family and friends. David tried to attend every one of his grandchildren's sporting events and most certainly was their biggest fan. Cheering at the games, he was not only the person with the loudest voice, but he was actually the one rooting for both sides, a true sign of his love of people. David was a great provider, a hardworking salesman for Mt. Pleasant Window Company for 25 years. Customers knew to ask for the "airplane guy" and knew he would be fair, honest and decent. David Paul Charletta had a true zest for life and enjoyed special bonds with family and friends, whether it was Friday night dinners with the Italian boys, or Saturday morning breakfasts with the pilots. He will be forever missed by all who were blessed to know him.
