Eugene Ferretti Obituary

Eugene A. Ferretti, 84, of Greensburg, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Dec. 19, 1917, in Andrico, Pa., a son of the late John Ferretti and Fanny DiGiovanni Ferretti Torre. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. He was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and member of the Fox Hill A.A. and the Loyal Order of the Moose #1151 of Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen C. Evangelista Ferretti; and three brothers, Frank, James and John Ferretti. He is survived by their children, Eugene and his wife, Linda Ferretti, of Erie, Anthony and his wife, Carol Ferretti, and Dennis and his wife, Mary Ann Ferretti, all of Greensburg, Tina and her husband, Daniel Chauvin, of Algonac, Mich., and James and his wife, Sherry Ferretti, of Hillsborough, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a brother, Mario and his wife, Josephine Ferretti, of Crabtree; a sister, Edith Minyon of Latrobe; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers in the funeral home Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg, with the Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
