William R. Nodd

William R. Nodd, 52, of Hunker, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 7, 1951, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John R. and Rosemary Kocis Nodd. He was Roman Catholic by faith. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a lumber man. He is survived by his sons, William R. Nodd II, of Hunker, and his stepson, Mark Crosby, of Connellsville; his daughter, Melissa Scherer and husband, David, of Greensburg; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel Nodd, of Greensburg and John Nodd, of Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Nodd; a sister, Joan Funny; and a stepdaughter, Jimmi Sue Crosby. At his request there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements being handled by EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.
