Ellen L. Fisher

Ellen L. Fisher, 90, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Quality Life Services, Apollo. She was born July 11, 1932, in Walton, N.Y., to the late Frank and Margaret Lathom. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Puckety Presbyterian Church, Lower Burrell, and worked as a director for Christian Education for more than 60 years. She dedicated her life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, making several mission trips throughout her life. She enjoyed people and understood the value of relationships. In her spare time, she enjoyed building puzzles, puzzle books, talking on the phone and praying with people. She connected with most anyone she met and enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people. She is survived by her two sons, John (Rebecca) Fisher, of Lower Burrell, and Tim (Donna) Fisher, of New Kensington; and grandchildren, Norman Switzer, Andrew (Carlee) Fisher, Sean Fisher, Abigail Fisher, Matthew Fisher, Hannah Fisher and Seth Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. J. Harry Fisher, and her parents, Frank and Margaret Lathom. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., Lower Burrell, PA 15068. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Puckety Presbyterian Church, 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell.
