Gerald Galo Obituary

Gerald P. Galo, 72, of New Kensington, left this world Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022. He was born Aug. 7, 1950, in New Kensington, to the late Gerald V. and Fredia Galo. Gerald had worked for more than 30 years for the Commonwealth of PA as a roofer/tinner and for 24 years on active duty with the Army and Reserves with the 307th M.P. Comp., achieving the rank of E-7, sergeant-first class. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack. Gerald is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debbie L. (Hooks) Galo; children, Paula J. (Dan) Slarb, of Ashland, Ohio, Gerald R. Galo, of Sallisaw, Okla., and Scott W. (Michelle) Galo, of New Kensington; two brother,, Roger (Debbie) Galo, of Elkins Park, and Andrew Galo, of Butler; and five grandchildren.
