Roger Bush Obituary

Roger A. Bush, 68, of Kiski Township, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at West Haven Manor, Washington Township. Born Oct. 13, 1946, in Apollo, he was the son of Lois (Wigle) Bush, of Kiski Township, and the late Glenn R. Bush Sr. Roger lived in Apollo most of his life. He was a 1964 graduate of Apollo High School, and 1968 graduate of Waynesburg College, where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Roger has been the president and owner of Glenn Bush Ford in Apollo since 1985. He is a past chairman and vice chairman of the Pittsburgh Ford Dealer Advertising Fund. He also served on the board of directors at the Apollo Trust Company for 16 years, three years of which he served as board chairman. Roger was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Apollo and a member of the Apollo BPOE No. 386. He also proudly donated storage and distribution space at his Ford Dealership to the Apollo Ridge Area Food Bank. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Glenn R. Bush Sr.; his son, Michael Allen Victor Bush; and his brother, Glenn Bush Jr. In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia (Haydu) Bush, of Kiski Township; son, Kenneth (Christa) Bush, of Bell Township; daughter, Jessica (Anthony) Aslanian, of Orlando, Fla.; and grandchildren, A. Michael Aslanian, Julie Bush, Catherine Aslanian and Lindsay Bush. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Apollo. Pastor Philip Ramstad will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Roger's memory to the Apollo Ridge Area Food Bank, Apollo Trust Company - in care of Terry Jones (Food Bank Secretary), 201 N. Warren Ave., Apollo, PA 15613.
