William Grimm Obituary

William L. "Bill" Grimm Jr., 57, of Lower Burrell, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in UPMC St. Margaret, Aspinwall. He was born in New Kensington, Jan. 17, 1953, to the late William L. Sr. and Alice C. Cousins Grimm, and had been a life resident of the local area. A steelworker, he had 36 years of service with Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp.'s Brackenridge plant. He was an associate member of the VFW and American Legion in Lower Burrell; the Moose, Eagles, Hunters and Fishermen Club, Haines and Kinlock Firemen's Club. He enjoyed being an auto mechanic in his spare time. He is survived by his children, Denise L. Grimm Styslinger, of Lower Burrell, William L. (Beth) Grimm III, of Plum Borough, Kayla M. Grimm (Bryan Altman), with whom he made his home, and Tara L. Sundberg, of New Kensington; five grandchildren, Malissa, Nicholas, Morgan, Ryan and Jace; brothers, the Rev. Terry C. (Diana) Grimm, of Southampton, Pa., and Kent L. (Donna) Grimm, of McKeesport; and half sisters, Carole Grimm Ferretti, of Gilpin Township, Dorothy Hoyt, of California, and Sylvia Beattie, of Lower Burrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by half sister, Shirley Ward. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by his brother, the Rev. Terry C. Grimm, and the Rev. Bob Waterloo. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Lower Burrell. www.rusiewiczfh.com.
