Mr. Sivertson hired me for my first teaching position. He was "subbing" for the personnel administrator, interviewed me, said I had a job and asked if I would be willing to work for a "gruff old bear" like him! I willingly took my first teaching job with him at Adelaide Elementary School in Federal Way. I learned so much from Mr. Sivertson as he was a great principal, and exhibited no gruffness whatsoever! May he rest in peace.
