Puyallup, Washington - Dave Nichols 72 of Kent, WA died October 7, 2022, in Puyallup's Good Samaritan Hospital in a room filled with the songs of the Beach Boys and the love of his family.
Dave was born April 13, 1950, to Don and Jane Nichols in Iowa Falls, Iowa, He learned to whistle 6 months before he could talk. Before moving to Washington, Dave attended Coleman College in San Diego where he met his wife, Holly. Dave and Holly married in 1975 and they had one beloved daughter, Robin Dawn. He worked as an IT Senior Consultant at Paccar for 20+ years before retiring.
David was a master musician, playing numerous instruments, in bands from Iowa to California to Florida to the Puget Sound Region, and was well known as @prettygoodpicker. A foodie and loved to try new recipes with his daughter and son-in-law. Dave was a world class trivia buff. He loved watching the Seattle sports teams with friends and family and snuggling with his furry four-legged friends. Dave was genuine, kind and patient. He rarely lost his smile and the twinkle in his eye.
Although we will miss his support, annual readings of the Night Before Christmas and teddy bear hugs. We are warmed by the thought of him jamming with his brother in an eternal gig.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 20th from 4 to 8 pm at Edison Square in Tacoma with fellow musicians, friends, and family. This celebration will be available virtually for those unable to attend in person.

To Dave´s family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. I am Dave´s first cousin, Jill. Only today I learned of his passing. I´m sure he must be rockin´ it with the Celestial Band. God bless you.
