At the age of 82 Frank returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on November 8, 2012. Frank was predeceased by his mother, Jenny Lee (Ragsdale) and his father, Francis J. Gallagher. He was an avid pigeon fancier of over 64 years at the OHC COR pigeon clubs. He worked for over 38 years at Consolidated Freightways and was a member of Teamsters Local 70, whose retirement benefits allowed him to have 25 years of an enjoyable retirement. Frank was a 1949 graduate of Emery High School and was a dedicated CYO coach at St. Louis Bertrand School. He leaves a shout out and May God Bless the efforts of all youth coaches. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Rachel and his children Mary (Craig) Hall and Joe (Darla) Gallagher, his grandchildren Tracie (Oscar) Gonzalez, Jennifer (Nick) Reily, Nicole (Cory) Stowe, Tamra, James, John, and Philip Gallagher. Great grandchildren Jacob, Tatiana, Damon, Donovan, Abigail, Travis, Donovan and Addison. His sister Bernice Poli, nephews Paco Poli and Tim (Shawn) Poli. His sisters brothers in laws Hope Rico Ramponi, Virginia Al LaFaille, Jean Doug McArthur and numerous nephews nieces. Frank believed flowers were for the beauty of outdoor pleasure, so in lieu of flowers, please made a contribution to a charity of your choice. Please remember to keep Frank's smile in your heart, always bet the Yellow 4 and the Pink 8, and that a clean crisp white tee shirt with white socks are proper attire for any occasion. Frank did it his way! A vigil will be held on Wed. Nov. 14th at 7:00pm at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro and the Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thurs. Nov. 15th at 10:30 at St. Leander Church, 550 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, Ca. 94577. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Oakland.
