WALTER FREEBERG Obituary

Walter Freeberg Walter Freeberg was born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Chicago, IL, and passed away April 14, 2010. He was the second eldest of 11 children of Herbert & Esther Freeberg. Walter retired from the U.S. Army. He was a POW in WWII and saw combat in WWII, Korea & Vietnam. After retirement, he worked for Xcell Feeds. He was an avid golfer and was a lifetime member of the Meadow Park Men's Club. Walt is survived by Pat, his wife of 51 years; children, Steven (Lisa) Terry Fields (Dick), Kenneth; and grandchildren, Alison, Erik, Gretchen, Liesel, Hanah, Marta, Jessica, Amelia and Nathaniel; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; and Ruby Red, his dog. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010 at New Tacoma Cemetery. Coffee & refreshments at Meadow Park Grill will follow. Donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice or Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff at Franciscan Hospice House & Allenmore Hospital for their kindness.

I know your dad would be proud of you and how you appear to have handled this situation. I am praying for you everyday with my whole and abiding heart.
