Judy Virginia Wintter

Judy Virginia Wintter of Canton, GA went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was 82 years old.

Judy was born on February 4, 1942 in Fairfield, AL, growing up in Hueytown, AL. She was always active in activities that revolved around the school, Hueytown High School where she was a 1960 graduate. Church was always a big part of the Wintter family and Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church was her church home. A great woman of faith. A faith that never weakened right up to her passing.

After graduation from high school Judy took a job with Standard Oil of Kentucky in Birmingham, AL. Thirteen years later she moved to Louisville, KY with what later became Chevron. Only four years later she accepted a promotion to Accounting Supervisor in Concord, CA. with Chevron where she finished her working career in 1999 after 38 years with Chevron.

After retirement Judy "hit the road"! She traveled to many places overseas and all across the USA. She made Texas home in 2006 and in 2017 she moved to Canton, GA where she resided until her passing.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, James Alexander Wintter and Clarissa Smith Wintter, her brother, James Allen Wintter. Judy is survived by her brother, Charles Weldon Wintter, nieces Wendy Wintter Griffin, Beth Wintter Pennington, Keri Elizabeth Wintter, and Leigh Wintter Prickett.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Canton First Baptist Church, 1 Mission Point, Canton, GA 30114, on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow.
