Kennewick, Washington - Jessica Stoker Shannon, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece and friend, passed away at the age of 32 on March 28th, 2023, after a courageous five year battle with colon cancer. She was at home, surrounded by her family, in Kennewick, Washington.
Jessica was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Seattle then Kennewick Washington. She was the oldest of five girls and a natural leader. She married her high school sweetheart, Todd Shannon, on May 26th, 2012, in the Columbia River Washington Temple. They later welcomed two daughters into their family, Juliet and Ellie.
Jessica was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Preschool Education, and later received her cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell Hair School in Rexburg, Idaho. Jessica moved back to Kennewick in 2018 and began doing hair out of her home. She had a passion for house plants, vacations, music and any kind of social gathering. However, what gave her the greatest joy was her large immediate and extended family.
Jessica is survived by her husband Todd and daughters Juliet and Ellie; parents Mike and Karri Stoker; siblings Whitney Taylor, Paige Bowers, Mallory Jensen, and Kate Stoker; and grandparents Kenneth and Connie Haueter.
The viewing will be held at Mueller's funeral home on Sunday, April 2nd, from 4-6 pm. The funeral will be at the Ridgeline, Latter-day Saint chapel in Kennewick, on Monday, April 3rd, at 1:00 pm. We invite you to share pictures and memories of Jessica by emailing JessicaShannonMemories@gmail.com.
