Pasco, Washington - Our dear mom and sweet grandma peacefully crossed over to be with Jesus on August 5,2023. She was born on December 23, 1932 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Barbara Schroepfer and Adon Lenertz. She is survived by her son, Antony and daughter-in-law Connie, three daughters, Maria and son-in-law Alejandro, Julie and son-in-law Eric, Susan and son-in-law James. She has three stepchildren, Celia and her husband Jim, Cindy, Jay and his wife Jeanice. She is also survived by eight siblings, their spouses, and families. Joyce delighted in her 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Joyce married Boleslaw (Bill) Zielinko in 1953. They were married for 27 years before Bill died in 1980. In 1986, she married Robert E. Scott. They were married for 33 years until his death in 2019.

Joyce loved clouds, traveling, reading, and dancing. She enjoyed collecting elephants, Santas and angels. She attended Nettleton Business College in SD, Claires Beauty College, and graduated from Columbia Basin Community College. She sang in the First United Methodist Church choir and spent time helping at the church's annual rummage sale. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for almost 2o years and found much joy in sharing conversations with the people she met over the years.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses, CNAs, and doctors at Kadlec Medical Center who helped care for our mom during the last four months. We are especially grateful to Nurse Shelly for her loving care and to Hospice for their guidance and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Kennewick, WA on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to any of Joyce's favorite charities: Tri-Cities Chaplaincy/Hospice, 2nd Harvest, Tri-Cities Union Gospel Mission.
