Alric Jones Sr.

Alric W. “Mike” Jones Sr. Petersburgh - Alric W. “Mike” Jones Sr., 78 passed away on Tuesday July 15 at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, Vermont. He resided on Smith Road in Petersburgh and was the husband of the late Betty (Thomas) Jones. Mike was born on November 5, 1935, in Berlin, New York son of the late Adolf and Nora (Brown) Jones. He attended schools in the Berlin area. Alric was employed at C.W. Cowee for forty years until retiring. He then worked at the Berlin Transfer Station. Mike enjoyed gardening and working on cars. Survivors include his children Peter (Joyce) Jones of North Petersburgh, NY, Gary (Joyce) Jones of Cherry Plain, NY, Edward (Michelle) Jones of Stillman Village, NY, Brian (Tracie) Jones of Eagle Bridge, NY, Michael Jones of North Petersburgh, NY, Alric W. Jones Jr. of Petersburgh, NY, Tammy (Edmund) Spizowski of FL and Sandra Betits. Alric is also survived by a sister Dorothy, two brothers Howard and Harold, fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren,several nieces, nephews and his dog snickers. He is predeceased by two sisters Ruth and Agnes, a brother George and a grandchild Kyle. Funeral services will be Friday July 18, at 12:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Burial will follow the service at the Berlin Baptist Cemetery, Berlin, New York. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the start of the service.
