Richard “Dick” Allen Sheridan CLIFTON PARK - Richard “Dick” Allen Sheridan, 68 of Maurice Lane died on Wednesday Sept. 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 9, 1947 and was the son of the late Robert E. and Jennie Pelesz Sheridan. He was a graduate of Cohoes High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Dick retired as a production manager for the GE Silicone Division in Waterford where he had worked for over 39 years. He was a member of the Halfmoon American Legion Mohawk Post #1450, member of the Moose Lodge in Cohoes and a former communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Cohoes. Dick was an avid bowler and enjoyed the game of golf. He was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. An avid sports enthusiast, Dick enjoyed all games. He was the beloved husband of Karen M. Rivette Sheridan; devoted father of Richard Allen (Anstasia Orbacz) of Shelburne, VT and Derek Lee (Tina Young) Sheridan of Los Angeles, CA; brother of Karen Donlon of Zephyer Hills, FL, Geneta Salviano of Henderson, NV and the late Paul Sheridan and Cheryl Nelson; cherished grandfather of Laurence Parker Sheridan; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Monday morning at 11:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park. Calling hours will be from 3-6 pm Sunday in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Special thanks to Community Hospice of Saratoga, The Pennsylvania Frontotemporal Degeneration Research team, Dr. Zimmerman and the Neurology team at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Kay Ryan, Carolyn Kingston, Jack McHale and Susan Murley for all of their love, support and devotion given in Dick’s final years.
