Aubrey Cummings Obituary
Sapps - On December 3, 2020, Aubrey Ronald "Ronnie" Cummings of Sapps, AL passed away at the age of 76 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. A private family graveside service will be held in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Walker officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Benjamin and Lillie Cummings; brothers, James Cummings, Olin Cummings, Richard Cummings, Ben Cummings, and Marlin Cummings and sister, Norma Richardson. Ronnie is also preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Laura Cummings.
Ronnie leaves behind a daughter, Leslie Cummings Hartley (Doug); two grandchildren, Emma and Heath Hartley; brothers, Thomas Cummings and Jerry Cummings; sisters, Margaret Golf, Mary Trapp, and Linda Blakeney and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Sapps, AL, Ronnie lived on the land on which he was born and loved the legacy of his large family and its contribution to the community. He was a loving husband, father and brother and was loved by all for his outgoing, funny, and caring spirit. Ronnie was generous with love, laughter and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorials to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 5506 Sapps Road, Carrollton, AL 35447 or Pilgrim Rest Cemetery Fund, c/o Lois Bruce, 4100 Sapps Road, Carrollton, AL 35447.

Laurie was my cousin. Her mom married my mother's brother Harold (who was killed in ww2). Me and my sister and families are from Connecticut. We only meet Laurie a few times. Talk some with her and Ronnie.
We all missed their passing during the turbulence of covid19.
We are sorry to have lost complete contact. I was so happy to see this so I couklld post my sorrow for your loss.

So sorry to hear this. I am Laurie's cousin Carl in Connecticut. ANN WILLIAMS was my Aunt. She married my mother's brother Harold Williams. My sister just found this on legacy last night. We are are deeply sorry.
