Dola Brahs Obituary

Dola L. Brahs was born April 29, 1928, in Dunsmuir and went to join our Lord in peace on the first day of our new year January 2007. The daughter of Ray and Inez Henrici, she grew up and lived the majority of her life in Siskiyou County. She married Frank Brahs in 1949 and joined him in the livestock and ranching businesses. Being an avid competitor, Dola greatly enjoyed shooting skeet and trap, bowling, golfing, and labrador field trials and obedience training. She was also a great contributor to school sports lending much time and support at many local events. She especially enjoyed her involvement with ducks unlimited.

Frank preceded Dola in death in 1980. She chose to move to Shasta County, spending the next 20 years training dogs in Palo Cedro, and traveling around the western U.S. with her beloved companions. She also greatly enjoyed watching her three grandsons play high school sports and compete in rodeos. She moved to Kelseyville in 2001 to be closer to her family.

She leaves behind her son, Frank Brahs Jr. of Andersen; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and John Jones, grandsons, J. Cody Jones, Zachary Pindell and wife Daysha, all of Kelseyville, Seth Pindell , wife Alicia, and three great-grandchildren, Severin, Emma, and Garrett Pindell of Etna.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yreka.
