Marlene Ferguson Obituary

(Barona) Lilydale, MN It was the morning of Thursday, May 26th that her eyes slowly closed forever as she was being dealt the final hand of the game of life. Bill Jr. and I were with her during her final hours. This is a time of sorrow and joy. Sorrow because she will not be with me as she was during the fifty years of our wonderful marriage and joy knowing she passed on to a glorious afterlife in heaven. My remembrance of her will be easy and long lasting as she was perfect in so many ways. God saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around her and whispered come with me. Although I love you dearly, I couldn't have you stay. So with tearful eyes I held your hand as you slowly passed away. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation which will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, May 31st and the Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1405 Hwy 13, Mendota. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Instead of flowers, if one wishes to memorialize Marlene in a special way, please give a gift to one's favorite charity in Marlene's name. Arr. O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Chapel, 651-698-0796.

Memories and Condolences
for Marlene Ferguson

Not sure what to say?

Bill, Billy . . . Will always fondly remember our ski junket many years ago to Indianhead. Our most sincere condolences to you both. Marlene's passing will leave an empty space in both your hearts. Losing a loved one is one of those downsides life offers.

Dear Bill, I was in the bridge group of Marlene's (and your mother's) called Kildysart. Marlene was such a great bridge player, using her sharp mind with every hand ( I always loved her for a partner). - And her desserts were delicious, and always made from scratch! She was such a gentle, tender, and beautiful woman. We will miss her very much. She was so proud of you too. We know she rests in God's peace.

Marlene is a bright light in my memories ~ from a small girl visiting your house and playing with your dogs, to times at Black Duck, to your visits to Missouri and more recently to sharing my son's birthday parties and notes back in forth these last few years. She is loved and has given so many of us loving memories over the years. You are both in our thoughts and prayers.

We used to live across the street from you on Scheffer Avenue...I remember her well as she was always so nice. She took time to talk to me whenever she saw me, even though I was just a kid and she smiled all of the time and had a wonderful laugh.
I am sorry for your loss.
