Michael Gravel Obituary

Gravel, Michael A. Loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa Age 69 Passed away peacefully at his home in Eagan, Minnesota on December 26, 2007. He grew up in Bemidji and was a graduate of Bemidji State University. He worked for many years in public service throughout the state of Minnesota. He is loved and will be dearly missed by wife Janet, children Chris Gravel (Martin Mendoza); Bridget (Mike) Bruno; Kate Gravel (Sean Mitchen). Further survived by step children, Kym (Peter) Kronschnabel, Steve Anderson; grandchildren - Mitch, Elizabeth, Maria, Anthony and Justin Bruno; Matthew, Courtney, Nicholas Kronschnabel and Caleb Anderson; mother of his children, Eileen Karnopp; 3 sisters, 2 brothers as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mike had a passion for philosophy, literature and classic movies. His stories will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. Visitation will be held at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. South in Edina on Wednesday January 2 at 10AM with funeral services at 11AM. A reception will follow the service, with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2PM. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice 2450 26th Ave. South Mpls MN 55406 or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Jan, we plan to attend to help support you at this painful time. I will think of Mike every Fourth of July went I put out the flag he gave us for the family reunion.
