Peter J. DUNN Jr.

Passed away on July 30, 2014 He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kate, children Patricia Dunn-Walker (Randy), Susan Moores (Mark) and Nancy Dunn, 5 grandchildren, and his brother David of Pennsylvania. Pete was a graduate of the University of Illinois, and had a 35-year career with Allstate Insurance. He enjoyed sports all his life, including playing college baseball at the University of Illinois. For 15 years he was the Supervisor of Volleyball Officials for the Big Ten Conference, taking great pride in opening the door for women to officiate the sport. He was elected to the United States Volleyball Hall of Fame and served as an official during the 1984 Olympics. Pete was an active participant in Senior Softball, a member of the Vadnais Heights Planning Commission and former member of the Ramsey County Personnel Review Board. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29th at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 4690 Bald Eagle Ave., in White Bear Lake. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials are preferred to St. Mary of the Lake Church.
