I was one of Dr Dahl's Ag Econ students and advisees a very long time ago. His incredible teaching ability and wonderful personality guided me into fantastic career as a grain trader. I have always been grateful for his guidance.

It is with deep sorrow to learn of the passing of our dear friend, teacher, and mentor Reynold(Reese)Dahl. We mourn the loss for his wonderful wife and partner Alyce, family, and all his friends who were fortunate to know Reese and received his care and were enriched by his presence. Reese was a genuine gentleman whose frankness and sense of humor were appreciated and loved by all. Reese left us with a lasting legacy, of generosity, love, and understanding. We will miss him.

The Johansens want to express our sincere sympathy to all your family. Reynold will be missed by so many people, including us.
Our friendship goes back a long, long way - back to Tatum Street days when Ann and our Susan were kindergarteners. Our very best wishes to the Dahl family.

The Dahl family has my sincere condolences at Reece's death. I worked for Reece in the Applied Economics Department in the 1970s. I loved his kindness, his enthusiasm, his constant willingness to help. It was fun listening to him talk about the work he was so proud of--deservedly proud of. I know he knew the value of the work he'd done in Minnesota, Tunisia and points beyond. I still recall his indignation at the treatment his luggage received in the Rome, Italy customs. This was a good and caring man who loved people and life. Emilie Quast, former Waite Librarian
