Roy Reher Obituary

Reher, Roy Hayden Age 85, of Shoreview Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa Entered heaven on August 8, 2009. Preceded in death by son Gregory. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Jeanne; daughters, Judith Saint Croix (Marcelo Mella), Sharon (Gerhardt) Zimmermann, Sandy (Jon) Collins, Jacquelyn (Philip Bales), and Cathryn (Timothy Eclov); grandchildren Adrian (Shelly), Anna, Peter, Benjamin, Joshua, David, Oscar, Christopher, and Emma; great grandchildren Maxwell and Allyson; brother LaRue Reher; and many special nieces and nephews. Roy was a gifted tenor, born pilot, proud veteran and true friend who touched the lives of countless individuals through his voice, compassion and sage advice. He was devoted to his immediate and extended family, as well as many dear friends. Roy's voice and loving presence will be missed, but his spirit will live on in the many individuals whose lives he touched. Special thanks to the caring staff of United Hospital. Service Monday, August 10, 2009, at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th Street N.W., New Brighton, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation preceding the service at 12:00 p.m. at the church and fellowship immediately following. Private interment at Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to the Arbor Day Foundation (www.arborday.org). Today's gift will reach tomorrow's generation. Washburn-McReavy (763) 789-4436

Wonderful memories of Roy laughing and joking with my daughter before piano lessons with Jeanne. A sweet man to his core. Barb and I send our prayers and warm thoughts to the whole family

Judi - I was sorry to read of your loss. I remember going to your home while at Sheridan Grade School - I remember music being a big part of your family.
