Lucille Todd Obituary

Lucille C. Todd, dearly beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, left her mortal body behind on Aug. 1, 2010, in Heber City, Utah, following a long illness. She joins her parents, brothers and sisters, as well as many cherished friends.
Lucille was born May 7, 1924, in Heber City, Utah, to Alva L. Coleman and Sarah Ann (Annie) Lee Murdock. She attended Wasatch High School where she excelled in sports and was president of the Girl's Athletic Association and captain of the girl's basketball team. She has been a central figure in the class of 1942 class reunion for many years. Lucille then attended LDS Business College to learn accounting and worked for several Ford dealerships. Later she worked as office manager for Bennett Leasing Company in Salt Lake City. Golf became her passion and she played for years with much enjoyment. She was treasurer and tournament organizer for the Roosevelt and Wasatch Ladies Golf Associations.
Lucille married Roy M. Todd on June 6, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lu joined Roy and his daughter, Marca Jean, in Roosevelt, Utah, where he and his brother, Dean, owned and operated Uinta Sales Barn, a livestock auction. Lu assisted Roy as bookkeeper and sales ring clerk until their retirement to Heber City in 1980. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in July 1997.
Lu has been a generous and thoughtful friend to many, a marvelous stepmother, and devoted grandmother. Most of all, she was a loving and faithful wife to Roy. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Roy, daughter, Marca Jean (Timothy Grossnickle), 9 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 7 at the Heber LDS 9th Ward chapel, 325 E. 500 N., Heber, Utah. Interment in the Heber City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinhoopes.com

I loved Lucille. She has been a part of our lives for so long. I think of her as mom's angel. Bless you Uncle Roy and Jeanne.

Thinking of Aunt Lu and Uncle Roy and all of the wonderful times we have shared together. Aunt Lu will always have a very special place in our hearts. Charlie and I look forward to spending time with Uncle Roy, Aunt Josie and all the family in Heber later this month.
