Neil White

Neil White Neil Gordon White, 85, Roosevelt, passed away Aug. 11, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Provo to Alden D. and Lois Venita Anderson White. He married Marcia Joyce Lemon April 15, 1960, in Ioka. They were sealed Oct. 24, 1962, in the Manti temple. She died Oct. 7, 2022. Neil was an avid reader and he loved to cook; he was known for his cookies and wonderful breakfasts. He enjoyed spending time on the beach when they lived in Crescent City, California, and camping in the mountains when they moved back to Utah. He loved his family and delighted in spending time with each of them. Neil was a real people person; he knew everyone and visiting with others was something he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved to sing and joined his first choir in high school; he continued to sing throughout his life. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fulfilling all of his various callings faithfully. He served for eleven years in the Vernal temple as an ordinance worker, was a door greeter for 10 years and cherished being called grandpa by his nursery class and many adopted grandchildren. Neil is survived by his children, Gordon (Arbetta) White, Terri (Rick) Young, Danielle (Matt) Labrum, Travis (Alicia) White, and Brandon (Hetal) White; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Karma (Tom) Broderick, Karl (Jerilyn) White, and JeanAnn (Brent) Shuldberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lysli Jeanne White; 3 greatgrandchildren, Tace Hales, and Bryce and Bella Thompson; siblings, Lois Betts, Barbee Buchanan, Phyllis Crouch, Bryce White, and Lynn White. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Roosevelt 11th ward chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening at the Hullinger Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
