UNION — Mrs. Sandi Grady Ivey, 59, 646 Browns Creek Church Road, Union, widow of Johnny W. Ivey, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Union, SC on March 15, 1955, a daughter of Sally Grady Epps of Blair and the late Thomas Ray Grady. She was a graduate of Union High School and had received Nurses Training from Chester Hospital. Mrs. Ivey had previously worked as a nurse at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home and Hospice Care of South Carolina. She was a member of Browns Creek Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, Brian Wishert of the home; two step-daughters, Margaret West and Donna Ivey, both of Union; a step-son, Ronnie Ivey and wife Angie of Union; her step-father, Rev. John Epps; a brother, Russell Grady and wife Penny of Boiling Springs; a granddaughter Emily Wishert of Union; a grandson, James Taylor Wishert of Union; two sister-in-laws Nancy Stepp and husband Robert and Thesis Tollison; a brother-in-law, Byrd Ivey and wife Donna; a daughter-in-law, Kylie Kelley and husband Samuel; a number of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ivey was predeceased by her grandparents, Guy and Mildred Grady, Joseph Carl Edwards, Sr., and Elba Edwards.
A celebration of life service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 at Victory Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Buddy Hogan and Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow at Browns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the services at the church from 12:45-2:45 p.m.
The family is at the home, 656 Browns Creek Church Road, Union, SC 29379.

Sandi was a wonderful lady and my family and I all thought the world of her. Not only did I use to work with her at Oakmont but when my Grandmother was on Hospice, Sandy was a true blessing. We are praying for the entire family

Both of my parents were on Hospice and Sandi was one of their nurses. She was so find to both of my parents and we all came to love her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
