Elizabeth Ainsworth Obituary

MANCHESTER - Elizabeth A. Ainsworth, 81, of Manchester died March 30, 2012, at Bedford Hills Healthcare in Bedford.

She was born on June 20, 1930, in Lancaster, the daughter of George M. and Thelma (Dickey) Murphy. Elizabeth was a resident of Manchester for many years.

She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her younger years, she worked as a secretary for the FBI in Washington, D.C. After raising her family she worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield and in retail.

Elizabeth was a very crafty person, enjoying sewing, knitting and ceramics. She spent much loving time crafting items for family and friends.

Surviving family members include her three sons, Timothy D. Ainsworth and his wife, Lynne, of Loudon; Stephen P. Ainsworth of Deering, and Kevin M. Ainsworth and his wife, Jayne, of Manchester; three grandchildren, Meghan, Joshua and Jason Ainsworth; great-granddaughter, Leeann Ainsworth, her sister, Barbara Cantin of Orange, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Ainsworth, who died in 1985.

SERVICES: Her visitation is at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Elizabeth's name can be made to the Easter Seals, 555 Auburn St, Manchester, 03103. Kevin, and all the Ainsworth Family,

We are so sorry to hear of yo ur Mom's passing.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. She was a warm loving person and so easy to talk with. She will surely be missed. Sorry I can't come in person to pay my respects. We will be leaving Fl for home on Tuesday.

To the Ainsworth family..please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time.. I remember Bette when she was at the Mount Carmel activity dept..What a lively woman she was and always spoke highly of all of you..Now she is at peace with your dad..God speed Bette..
