Hannah Parfitt Obituary
She was born May 26, 1947, in Manchester, the daughter of Dr. John W. and Edith Mary (Rowe) Parfitt. Hannah graduated from Central High School and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
She is survived by two brothers, John Parfitt of Manchester and Christopher Parfitt of Ogunquit, Maine; a sister, Rebecca Parfitt of DeKalb, Ill.; nephews Christopher Parfitt and wife Cindy of Union City, N.J., and Ian Parfit, of Canandaigua, N.Y.; nieces Susannah Bernheim and husband Caleb Kleppner of New Haven, Conn., Sarah Machado of Portland, Maine, and Hannah Parfitt of West Hollywood, Calif.; and a grandniece, Lila Kleppner, and grandnephew Isaac Kleppner, both of New Haven, Conn. Hannah was employed by RKM Research, of Portsmouth.
Hannah was a skilled craftsperson, dollmaker, assemblage artist, jewelry designer and decoupage artist. She was a keen devotee of opera, old movies and the musical theater, and of her cats. Her generous, warm spirit, creativity and wit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A commemorative gathering will be scheduled in the near future.

When I was a student at Central High ,Hannah and I dated for a short time. I have a wonderful memory of skiing with her at Mittersill ski area. Her parents owned a renovated church nearby where we all stayed. My wife and I moved to Dover in 2012, the same year Hannah died at Hyder House. Six years later my wife died at Hyder House as well. Like Anne Sauve said, "I´m sorry I didn´t know she lived in this area." Perhaps we could have shared some happy memories.

I was a high school classmate, so long ago, yet I clearly remember her smiling face and kind ways. I live in the Seacoast; I'm sorry I didn't know she lived in this area, too. My deep condolences on your loss.

Dear John and Becky, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved sister Hannah. I remember her well making Christmas cookies and her artistic flair. I hope your wonderful memories of her will help sustain you during this painful time.
