Nason W. Fessenden Jr.

NASHUA - Nason W. "Buster" Fessenden Jr., 80, of Nashua passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Buster was born in Fitchburg, Mass., on Aug. 28, 1932, a son of the late Nason W. and Elsie (Beaubien) Fessenden Sr. He was the husband of Joan A. (Bouley) Fessenden for 60 years.

Buster was a graduate of Nashua High in 1950 and of the Tilton School in 1951. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked as a facility assigner at N.E. Telephone for 37 years. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Red Sox. Buster was predeceased by one daughter, Debra Fessenden; and one sister, Eleanor Austin.

Besides his wife, Buster is survived by three sons, Bruce Fessenden of Milford, Brian Fessenden and his fiancée Patti Labounty, of Brookline, Brett Fessenden and his wife Claudette, of Bedford; one daughter, Brenda Dionne and her husband John, of Nashua; 12 grandchildren, Aaron Fessenden and his wife Jennifer, Douglas Fessenden, Shawn Fessenden, Kendall Dionne, Ethan Dionne, David Gervais, Drew Fessenden, Nicole Fessenden, Sara Yee, Stephanie Yee, Andy Labounty, Meghan Labounty; one great-grandchild, Celsie Fessenden; one sister, Irene Thompson of Brookline; three brothers, Allan Fessenden and his wife Sandy, of Edenton, N.C., W. Arthur Fessenden and his wife Lee, of Holly Springs, N.C., Robert Fessenden and his wife Pat, of Madison, Wis.; and his granddog, Hershey.

The family extends deepest thanks to all of the staff at St. Joseph Hospital for their excellent care.

services: Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Everyone is invited to meet at the church.
