Donald A. Zyga
Utica
Donald A. Zyga, 72, of Utica, died March 15, 2010, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare. He was born February 5, 1938, in Utica, son of the late Stanley and Wanda Kuklinski Zyga. Donald worker for a number of years at Holy Trinity Church. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the Polish Community Club and the Utica-Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society. He is survived by two first cousins, Joanne Wrobel and Elaine Szalkowski, and also leaves many friends at the Polish Community Club and the Railroad Historical Society. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will greet friends following the funeral mass. Arrangements are with the Ryczek Funeral Home, Utica.

Don was a very kind man who always had a smile on his face. My mother and I would meet him at the train station on Sundays and share a sweet from Holland Farms. He never had a bad word to say about anything or anyone. We should all aspire to that legacy. We are very sorry for your loss.
