Francis J. Paciello
Utica
Mr. Francis J. Paciello, age 69, retired U.F.D., of Utica, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2008, in Utica, after a long illness. He was born in Utica on February 1, 1939, a son of the late Sam and Antoinette Barbero Paciello, and was educated in local schools. Francis was a loyal and dedicated Utica Firefighter for over 24 years, and also was employed at Blue Cross/Blue Shield for over 20 years, until his retirement. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he truly loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. He had a passion to cook and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was a member of Engine 11 and of the Pisano Club. He will be truly missed by his beloved family. Surviving are his beloved daughter, Gina Rotach, and special friend, Juan Irizarry, of Utica; three beloved sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Mary Lourdes Paciello, of Whitesboro, Francis Paciello, Jr., and Joseph Paciello, both of FL; his three cherished grandchildren, Ashley Rotach, Mark, Jr., and Nicole Paciello; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Raymond and Laura Paciello, Donald and Shirley Paciello, and Dennis Paciello, and sister-in-law, Debbie Paciello, all of Utica; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and dear friends, including Andre and Marilyn Esposito, and Big John and Little John Lucarelli. His funeral will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. from The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc., 1122 Culver Ave., and at 11:30 a.m. in Mt. Carmel/ Blessed Sacrament Church, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening (today) from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
