Michael Vogel Obituary
UTICA - Michael Vogel, 57, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the comfort of his home.
He was born in Utica, on May 4, 1961, the son of Roger and Jacqueline Vogel and graduated from New York Mills High School. He was employed with Mele Manufacturing. Michael was an avid sportsman and musician. He especially enjoyed helping people.
His survivors include his mother, Jacqueline Petrie, of E. Syracuse; two sisters, Barbara Vogel – Cortes, of NJ and Brenda Vogel, of E. Syracuse; and his brother, William Vogel, of MD. Also surviving is his niece, Sydney Cortes. He was predeceased by his father, Roger Vogel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service which will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 5 p.m., at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main St., New York Mills, with the Rev. Michael Buntz officiating. Those who wish, may call from 3-5 p.m., prior to the service.
