It is with a very sad heart that I write this message. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Stan was a wonderful man and I am honored to have been a part of his life. My short time caring for him and your Mom was a very special time for me. May you all find comfort knowing that he is now reunited with the love of his life and may his memories stay in your hearts forever. My love and Deepest sympathy to ALL of you. Uncle Stan was one of my very MOST FAVORITE human beings, EVER! He and Dad (your Uncle Marty)had the most SPECIAL relationship from the "get go". He would bring a wing of fighters in from "somewhere", and come "hunting" for Dad before heading to MacDill AFB in Tampa. He ALWAYS found him. He would Straffe Dads foursome on the golf course, blow them ALL to their knees, wiggle his wings and head to MacDill. Dad would head Straight home, jump in the car, and head right over to pick him up. One time, he found Dad on our fishing pier and blew him right off into the water! Dad came in dripping wet, Mom said "Marty, WHAT happened?".....he gave a Huge smile and said, "Stans here!"..He got into dry clothes and headed right out to pick him up!!! He ALWAYS kept in touch with Dad (me too!) through the years, and, even sent Dad clippings from the newspaper he thought would be of interest....they WERE! Dad LOVED getting them! I am SO HONORED to have had Uncle Stan in "my" life. THIS family produced TRUE "HEROES" in EVERY sense of the word. Cousins, we have some very Powerful Guardian Angels watching over us. We miss "seeing" them, but as long as we carry them in our hearts, they will ALWAYS be with us. Can you just Imagine the "time" they are having up there, now that they are all Together once again?!!! Love to you ALL! Karen Justyna Scheidt

Linda, Lisa, Cynthia and Joe, It's been several years since we have seen all of you, but memories hold dear to us. Mickey and Stan will always be remembered for their loving hospitality to our son, Chuck growing up on Saunders Road. Stan always had Chuckie wherever he took Joey. Stan Bird was my hero and great Air Force pilot. In the midst of WWII I can still remember his tree top fly-by over Clark Mills enroute to Europe. He was a great pilot, patriot and an inspiration to all the Clark Mills folks. God rest his soul.
