Elizabeth Goodsell Obituary

Danbury - Elizabeth Maude (Warner) Goodsell 99, of Danbury, died Thursday morning, January 26, 2023, at Glen Hill Center, Danbury, CT. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis E. Goodsell, Jr. Mrs. Goodsell was born in Danbury, March 24, 1923, daughter of Lee B. Warner, Sr., and Maude Warner. She graduated from Danbury High School and was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. Mrs. Goodsell is survived by a daughter, Susan Goodsell Whitley and her husband, John, of Williamsburg, VA; a son John Lewis Goodsell of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial is planned for her 100th birthday, March 24, 2023, at noon at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all who loved Betty share that love with family and friends.
