Bertha Rodriguez, 83, of Harlingen, TX entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 10, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Sophia Lozano, Aurora Longoria, Angelita Lozano, Francisco Longoria and Arturo Longoria.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years Martin Rodriguez; daughters Olympia (Mario "Mito") Rodriguez and Laura (Joel) Castillo; a son Martin "Marty" Rodriguez, Jr.; 6 grandchildren Nichole Carrera, Dr. Martiza "Mitzi" Gonzalez, Veronica Corrin, Yvette Castillo, Kayla Beesley and Daniel Rodriguez; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 brother Manuel Longoria, Jr.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at Rudy Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Harlingen. TX with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX.

Olympia, Laura, Marty and Mr. Rodriguez please except my heart felt condolences on the passing of your mother. I will always remember her sweet nature and how she always made me feel apart of your family. I will always remember her advice to us as we were heading out the door to do whatever we were about to get into. I remember what a great cook she was and how we never left her house hungry, do you still have the cookie jar she kept on the kitchen table, I remember it was always full of cookies for whom ever was visiting! May she be at peace.
