Juan De La Cerda
MERCEDES, TX. - Juan De La Cerda, 53, passed away September 23, 2007 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
He was preceded in death by his father, Santiago De La Cerda.
He is survived by his wife, Josefina V. De La Cerda, two sons, Juan De La Cerda, stationed in Ft. Steward, Savannah GA., Jorge Alberto De La Cerda of Mercedes, two daughters, Carmen Cassandra Couch of Savannah, GA., and Laura Elisa Rodriguez of Jacksonville, NC.
Also surviving is his mother, Beatrice G. De La Cerda of Mercedes, two brothers, Javier De La Cerda of Mercedes, Jimmy De La Cerda of Houston, two sisters, Dahlia Fernandez and Diana Gower both of Mercedes, and 10 grand-children.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Funeral Mass will be said Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Mercedes with burial following at Highland Memorial Park of Weslaco.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home of Mercedes.
