Amelia Mejia Obituary
Oxnard, CA
Amy, 51, died unexpectedly, due to illness, on March 6, 2017 surrounded by her family and loved ones in the hospital. Amy was a lifelong resident of Ventura County, CA.
Amy loved to spend time outdoors, hanging out at the beach, camping, and bbqing with family. She was a "Jill" of all trades and held various positions from delivering pizza to moving furniture to painting houses. Amy had a big heart and was always available to lend a helping hand to any family or friend in need.
She enjoyed playing sports as well as attending her grandson Isaac's sporting events. Amy also enjoyed playing board games with Makayla and getting big hugs from Matthew. Amy had two children, Isaac L. Mejia and Rose-Marie Mejia whom she loved unconditionally.
In 2011, Amy was preceded in death by her only son Isaac and she struggled with his loss everyday.
Amy is survived by her mother Aurora, daughter Rose, grandchildren, Isaac, Makayla and Matthew, daughter-in-law, Yvette, brothers: Frank(Susie), Richard(Lisa) and Angel, sisters: Yolanda(Daniel), Cindy(Xavier), Carol(Juan), and Christina, lifelong friend and partner Sally and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Services to be held Saturday March 18, 2017 at 2:00pm in Camarillo at Perez Family Funeral Home.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Amy. I met her a few years ago at the Parents of Murdered Children support group. I know she had a difficult time dealing with the loss of her son and I can only hope that she is finally at peace, beside him. God Bless all her family and friends as they mourn her loss. May you all find comfort in your memories of her. God Bless!
