Barbara Roberts Obituary
Camarillo, CA
Barbara Sue Roberts, beloved Mother and Grandmother, long time resident of Camarillo, California, age 79, passed away June 12, 2018 at home surrounded by her family after a short illness. A graduate of Oxnard High School, Barbara was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on April 9, 1939 to William and Violet Kirkpatrick. She met her husband while working in the civilian typing pool at Point Mugu Naval Air Station. Barbara was married for 43 years to Bill Roberts who preceded her in death in 2002. After retirement, Barbara was active in several local quilting and crafting groups and volunteered in the charitable programs of several local congregations.
Barbara is survived by her son, Robin and daughter, Melanie; sister, Nanze Covell; grandson, Ryan; and her extended family consisting of nieces, Michelle, Annette, Tana and Tina; nephew, Galen; her daughter's step-children, Michael and Stephen; and her daughter's step-grandchildren, Cristian, Kayle and Ashton.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tues, June 19th at 1pm at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road in Camarillo, where she will be laid to rest with Bill. Attendees and those who cannot attend may choose to wear purple, her favorite color, and/or butterflies on the day we lay her to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appropriate.

Barbara will be missed by many of us "quilting/crafters". She was a good friend and lots of fun. I loved her wicked sense of humor, and common sense approach to life. May the peace and comfort of Jesus be with her family at this time.

Barbara was a great friend and neighbor. She always had a smile and a kind word. I enjoyed our talks and she will be greatly missed by all of us.
