Dylan Spink Obituary
After a short but full and happy life, Dylan Robert Spink, 3, passed away tragically on Thursday, September 4, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
Dylan was born in Oxnard on March 12, 2011 to Yvonne and Greg Spink. The pureness of Dylan's spirit will always be with those who knew and loved him. His happiness was infectious. Recently he was known to start conversations with anyone he saw, telling checkers at the grocery store "Have a nice day!" as he left, and "Hey man, how's it goin'?" or "Aloha!" to strangers as he walked by.
He loved cars, trucks, trains, tractors, and anything else with an engine. He also loved blowing bubbles and chasing them, trying to pop the big ones, all while giggling incessantly and smiling from ear to ear. We know that Dylan is eating ice cream (with sprinkles!), M&Ms, pasta, and PB&Js in Heaven and probably making a mess while doing it. In today's complicated world, Dylan was a constant reminder of the pure joy, curiosity, and love that exists within a child. He was a special soul and will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Greg and Yvonne Spink, loving paternal grandparents Pete and Pat Spink, great-grandmother Rosemary Spink, loving maternal grandparents Frank and Lydia Macias, paternal aunts and uncles Kevin (Lauren) Spink, Katie (Brandon) Stuart, maternal aunts and uncles Liza (Gilbert) Rocha, Krista (Antonio) Barajas, Gregory Macias, Paul (Amber) Macias, paternal cousins Emily Spink, Elizabeth Spink, Brooklyn Stuart, and maternal cousins Veronica Guzman, Devin (Erasmo) Cortez, Mark Barajas, Christian Barajas, Jacob Macias, Ethan Macias, Aiden Macias, Ezra Cortez, Isla Cortez, along with second and third cousins, great aunts and uncles, and countless friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Perez Family Funeral Home (805) 983-3457. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, September 12th at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 13th at St. Mary Magdalen Church on the corner of Las Posas Road and Crestview, Camarillo. Burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, with a reception following burial.

An angel took my breath away,
When I saw his warm smile.
It reminded me of someone,
That I worked with for a while,
He had her face and big brown eyes,
My memory knew that face,
When I saw his parent's name,
I needed an embrace.
His mother, was my friend, Yvonne,
Whom I worked with for years.
"This can't be true, my mind said,"
Thru heartfelt loving tears.
She was my inspiration,
Our patient's loved her so,
Her loving personality,
The memories seemed to flow.
So Dylan, I want you to know,
That God is very proud,
How you teach baby angels,
To fly upon a cloud.

Yvonne, I never got to meet your son but all I know is he was a very loved little boy. When you would come to work you always had a story to tell about Dylan. I pray that you and your family gain the strength you need to get through this hard time. Just know Yvonne that your little boy is now your guardian angel and he will always be with you and your family.
