Helen Rose Chassell Davis or Camarillo, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Passed away on October 30, 2014 of natural causes.
Helen Rose was born in Gillette, Wyoming on October 4, 1915 to Harry and Rosa Chassell. She was one of three sisters.
After graduation from Gillette High school, she attended junior college in Coffeyville Kansas . On September 20, 1937, she married Richard A. Davis in Gillette. They had four children; Larry, Wendy Lee, Jo Ellen, and Ronald. She spent most of her life in Wisconsin Rapids WI. where she was active in several organizations. She and Richard moved to Camarillo, CA in 1975. He passed away on March 29, 1983. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood for over 65 years and most recently a member of Chapter UM in Camarillo. She was preceded in death by her two sisters and her parents.
She is survived by her son Larry (Pam) of Camarillo, daughter Wendy Lee Weiss (Ward) of Fremont, WI, daughter Jo Ellen Davis- Immel (Val) of Phelps, WI and son, Ronald (Deb) of Scandinavia, WI. She had eight grand children and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.
She was known for her kind and loving heart. She enjoyed talking with people and always put her family's desires ahead of her own needs. She didn't want to be a burden on anyone.
In accordance with her wishes no services will be held and people wishing to remember her are asked to make a donation in her name to Cottey College,1000 West Austin, Nevada, Missouri, 64772 or the PEO Foundation,ELF (Chapter UM), 3700 Grand Ave. Des Moines IA. 50312 or Livingston Memorial Hospice, 1996 Eastman Ave. Ventura,CA. 93003. Final arrangements are being handled by Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. She will be interred at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, WI.
The family expresses sincere thanks to Livingston Memorial Hospice and the loving caregivers at Advanced Residential Care Home.
