Hugo Gonzalez Obituary

Hugo Gonzalez 49 lost his valiant battle way too young with Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the blood plasma) on February 17, 2014. Hugo is survived by his wife Jennifer Braun, daughters: Nalleli Gonzalez, Andrea Gonzalez, Ariana Gonzalez, Step-daughter: Michelle Mora and young son: Alessandro Gonzalez. Hugo was born to Manuel and Bertha Gonzalez on January 12, 1965 in Mexico City. He has two brothers: Saul Gonzalez and Oracio Gonzalez and three sisters: Angeles Gonzalez, Elisabet Gonzalez and Ana Gonzalez. Hugo's spirited and outgoing personality along with his captivating smile touched the lives of many. He coached and played soccer until his diagnosis in 2011, practiced therapeutic massage and volunteered at Ventura County Medical Center as well as the Ojai Raptor Center. Hugo's absence in the lives of those close to him will be forever missed. His family is relieved that he suffers no pain and is free from the tortures of this disease. Family and Friends are invited to Visiting hours Friday February 21, 2014 from 3 to 8 p.m. in JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE 757 E. Main Street Ventura where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be in the Funeral Home 11 a.m. on Saturday February 22, 2014.

I was so saddened to hear of Hugo's passing. I only met him a few times during my own cancer treatment, his kindness towards me is something I will always remember. I will be donating to the American Cancer Society in his memory and keeping his family in my prayers.

Jennifer, I am so sorry to learn that your dear husband Hugo has passed away. May God bless you and your entire family as you all go through these most difficult days ahead.
