Roslyn Hills Obituary
Camarillo, CA
Roslyn Shirley Hills passed peacefully on March 9, 2016, at the age of 90. Roslyn was born on August 28, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Elizabeth and Benjamin Fein. She greatly enjoyed school, especially drama, and was an excellent student. She wanted to attend college, but unfortunately World War II was taking place so she went to work in the Signal Corps. After the war she married Richard Hills, moved to Minnesota, and her first daughter Linda was born. As the weather in Minnesota was unfavorable, they moved to the San Fernando Valley in sunny southern California in 1950. Scott was born in Nevada two months early during their journey west. Five years later Laurie was born and completed the family.
Roz loved bicycle riding, and took two ambitious bike trips, one on the east coast and another in California from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Travel was Roz's true passion. She became a Travel Agent and fulfilled her dream of exploring many interesting countries of the world. Europe was her favorite continent, and she adored France, especially Paris. Another great love was classical music, and she became an active volunteer for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Since she had a great love for children, she volunteered for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which brought her much satisfaction. Roz was also an avid fan of dancing, and participated in a square dance group. When she moved to Leisure Village in Camarillo she became an active member of ORT.
Roz was a loving mother, a wonderful grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother. Her friendly, outgoing personality and kind, caring manner were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was truly a grand lady who lived life well.
She is survived by her beloved children Linda Martynowicz (Zyg), Scott Hills (Diane), Laurie Alexander-Hills (Jon), grandchildren Lisa, Trina, Brandon, Randy, Makulumy, and great-granddaughter Charlotte.
Services will be held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m. Donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties.

I worked with Roslyn years ago and LOVED here. Tried to find her several times and so sad to see she's gone. I pray she had a great life !
