Gerald Adler

Gerald Adler Orthodontist Gerald "Jerry" Adler was born to Viola and Sam Adler on June 27, 1928 and grew up in Marshall, Minnesota, the youngest of three siblings. He went home on July 7, 2013, at the age of 85. After High School he enlisted in the Army Air Forces and served as an Air Traffic Controller. Following completion of college and Dental School he was commissioned as a Dental Officer in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Ord in Monterey, California where he met his wife, Henny, on a blind date. After completing his Masters Degree at the University of Pittsburgh, he practiced Orthodontics in Tulare and Kings County for 35 years. He took great pride in creating beautiful smiles. Jerry loved to read. His shelves were filled with books about health and religion. He often bought extra copies of a book so he could share them with friends. He is survived by Henny Adler, his wife of 54 years, and his sister, Shirley Howard, as well as a son, Alan Adler (Elizabeth) and daughter, Heidi Parker (Warren). He was proud of his three grandchildren, Madison, Dakota and Samuel. A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27th 2013 at Gateway Church, 1100 S. Sowell, Visalia, CA.
