Jesus Aguirre Obituary

Jesus Quiroz Aguirre of Farmersville passed away on April 15, 2010 from cancer. He was 81, born to Gabriel and Petra Quiroz on July 27, 1928 in Richmond, CA. He moved to Farmersville in 1959. He married Angelina Reynosa on April 27, 1959. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2009. As a young man he received a college degree from the Estado Libre y Soberano de Chihuahua. In Mexico, he worked as a broadcaster. Upon returning to the States, he received a degree in Business from La Salle College in Chicago. Later he worked as a farm laborer and Ranch hand. Jesus was very proud to be a republican. He was a descendant of one of the constitutional Signovs of Mexico. He was also proud of his French basque ancestory. He was a dedicated San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan. He and Angie traveled throughout the country with their children and later their grandchildren. One of his destinations were the casinos in Laughlin and Las Vegas. He enjoyed barbequeing and family gatherings. He took pride in his beautiful Rose Garden. Jesus was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Angelina, five sons (and their spouses) Arthur (Hazel) Lopez of Farmersville, Jesus Aguirre Jr. of Columbia Sc., Peter (Gloria) Aguirre of Tulare, John Aguirre and Steven Cullen of Visalia, and Edward Aguirre of Farmersville, and Three daughters (and their spouses) Leticia (Jesus) Juarez of Farmersville, Debra (Sal) Mayo of Lemoore, and Julie Begley of Jacksonville, Fl. He was also survived by 27, grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and one sister, Ester Rojo of Chihuahua. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, his son Gabriel Aguirre and son in law Bill Begley. A gathering for family and friends will be held at his home on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Jesus spent his final days at home surrounded by his wife and family and cared for by his grandson Jimmy.
