Alan Johnson Obituary

Alan Johnson

Enosburg Falls, VT - Alan was born January 21,1956 to Stanley and Wilma Johnson of Wilder, Vermont, and passed on 4/4/2023. He was a proud Vermonter and loved his family, including "Ezra and Zoey", favorite dogs.

He graduated from Hartford High School in 1973. From there he went on to get his degree in Environmental Science from Paul Smith's College in Paul Smith's, New York in the Adirondacks. He worked in sales and was employed by Vermont Air Gas and retired in 2013.

Alan married Linda Ruel of Hartford, VT. He and Linda had two children, Bradley and Kalli, who were the light of his life. He was so proud of all their accomplishments and the people they had become. Brad and fiancée Carrie, and little girl, Riley, live in Dripping Springs, TX. They are expecting a little boy this August. Kalli and partner, James Charron and baby, James Alan, live nearby in St. Albans, VT. After Alan and Linda's divorce, he married Georgina Lovelette in July of 2003. They lived in Enosburg Falls.

Alan had a great sense of humor, was extremely well read, and intellectually curious about everything going on in the world. He relished the competition of games of Wordle and Words with Friends.

He also loved: riding his motorcycle, target shooting, hunting, fishing, landscaping, skiing, snowmobiling, ATV riding, and kayaking. He cut and stacked thousands of cords of wood to keep their home toasty in winter. He could fix anything.

Alan had a passion for the Earth and concern about the environment and global warming. He is survived by his wife, Georgina, and children, Bradley and Kalli and their partners and children; his brother David Johnson, Williamsburg, VA, and sister, Linda McLaughlin, Longmont, CO and their spouses and children.

My condolences to all of Alan's family. We went to school together and graduated from Hartford High School in the Class of 1974. He will surely be missed. May all of the many wonderful memories of times spent with Alan help our hearts heal.
